This is the one I was talking about.

Barely bobbles across the line. Instead of a Withe style scuff, he could have given it a bit more wellie like Roberto Carlos.

Just seen the goals back again. Both good finishes, the second was superb.

Kind of bizarre why the Coventry defender didn't try clearing it with his right foot.

Really important he makes a meaningful contribution. He was really good today, constantly trying to threaten and ask questions of the defence.

He looks much more effective when he plays centrally.  Linked up well with Watkins at times today.  Only issue with them both starting is that we haven't got a forward option on the bench if they both come off like today.

I thought he was terrific and showed how quick and strong he is. A real attribute to the team

Two fantastic finishes. I don't find him such a good team player, more like a raw goalscoring muscle, as epitomised by the second goal yesterday. But long may that continue!

His contribution this week has been fantastic. Thats why we have a squad where everyone can hopefully chip in with great performances over the season. This week has seen Donny, Bogarde and Little Emi step up big time..

If you were the keeper there, you'd probably be half tempted to let that go in, it was such a fucking outrageous piece of football.

2 proper Julian Joachim finishes by Malen today - excellent performance.

OMG, that's a great shout! I think you're bang-on. Good old Jules. Wish we could have back at VP some day.

Great minds!! I have been saying to my mates that he reminds me of Julian Joachim.

Good to see him start and show his finishing ability with two great finishes.

Interesting to see him as the second striker than wide right, with McGinn on the right out of possession. I think he hasn't been selected a lot because Unai doesn't trust him out of possession and the side was set up with enough defensively diligent players so Malen being defensively sound was less important

I imagine yesterday we saw what they had in mind when signing Malen, him playing with Ollie, and it's just being a question of getting the rest of the team set up right to make it work.

You both hate him?  ;) He was more a right sided Thierry Henry with those finishes yesterday.

Donny scored and assisted at the Bernabeu last year to put Dortmund 2-0 up. The guy's got cojones.

Malen's finishing is excellent.

Sometimes his first touch is a bit off, but once he's on the ball he's a dangerous player.

But I think we missed Watkins and McGinn's ability to hold up the ball and slow the play.  We lost all shape when they went off.
