Not sure why he hasn't been starting tbh.

Probably because when he has started this season, he was as poor as anyone else was attacking wise until recently when the team as a whole have picked up. But I also don't think he gets that space without another forward like Watkins on the pitch occupying the defence. First goal Ollie wins it well on the touchline and then bursts forward which drags Esteve out towards him initially. Very telling when Malen was up front on his own we didn't create much more. How much was the removal of Watkins or McGinn can be hard to tell, but if as others state, having both playing up front gets us goals then great.

He does seem to have the knack of scoring across the keeper. The second one the keeper didn't even see it until it was nestling in the back of the net.
Yes, the goals at Brighton and Southampton last season were from a similar angle.

Really important he makes a meaningful contribution. He was really good today, constantly trying to threaten and ask questions of the defence.

OMG, that's a great shout! I think you're bang-on. Good old Jules. Wish we could have back at VP some day.

When he scores a goal from a metre off the goal line and closer to the corner flag then the goal, then it can be compared to Joachim.

His contributions have been great since he joined, just the one game where he was crap but then so was the rest of the team. His work ethic has been top notch. I keep saying it but it's worth repeating, things happen when he's on the pitch. Right now I'd have him way ahead of Guessand on the right, though he will come good, hopefully before we upgrade at right back where he spends a lot of time babysitting Cash.

Looking at the table only Wolves and Forest have scored less than us, we'll need to improve in that area and we won't come up against many, if any, worse defences than Burnley today.

Two well taken goals today. Offered pace and done vim up front which we’ve been lacking. But definitely looks to need to okay with someone rather than up to on his own.
