Watkins should have 2 by now, great penalty but should have done better with 2 other chances. Tielemans, Kamara and Rogers doing well. McGinn trying to drag us forward.

Yes, that is probably a valid point.

It’s absolutely a system based issue that is exposing frailties of individual players. Give it a few weeks and those who have become convinced Pau can’t do anything right will be slating errors from Mings.

I think Bailey has been far more like his old self. He's got a bit of zip back in his running. He just needs a goal. Easily his best performance of the season.

We could have done with another couple of minutes at the end of that half. We've taken control but we're notorious for dropping our foot off the pedal after a half time break. I want us to hit them from the off.

Got to say that Konsa gets off very lightly. Pau and Carlos have taken pelters all season but I have to be honest, I think Konsa's been worse than everyone at the back, whether he's played in the middle or the right. Chopping and changing hasn't helped granted but questions need to be asked about Ezri's form (because he's our best all round CH). Mings has improved us and actually, the best I've seen Konsa play this season was playing alongside Ty against Brentford.

Digne has been very good. You wouldn't know he's 31 and playing his 3rd game in just over a week.

Tielemen's started the game poorly but has since taken control in midfield, showing off his class. They look ropey at the back if we keep pressing them. Just need to be wary of the counter.

I want more out of Rogers. He's been quite good but we need more consistency in his play and his decision making. Unplayable against City, lethargic against Newcastle, good but a tad frustrating today.

It also should have been entirely irrelevant- Konsa first played everyone onside (taking all of our defenders out of the game) and then inexplicably left the ball when he was going to be first to it. It was stunningly bad from him.

Konsa is a liability and Watkins has to be more clinical.

Not disappointed that Mings is on as I would have started him instead of Pau. If we play the second half the same way as we ended the first, we wil win.

Yes I think Torres is a couple of levels above Mings in most aspects of the game but yes each to their own.

Anyone who thinks we won't on balance miss Torres especially in Europe is really somewhat foolish. He creates loads of chance for us.

How does thinking Mings is a better fit defensively for this game equate to wishing Pau requires a double amputation ? What a bunch of drama queens !

But if you think that players *are* going to be really good, the way that you get them ready is by playing them.
