Lord forgive me, for a split second I thought "what's that bellend Micah Richards doing in the shots?" before realising it's actually super-ripped Tony Daley.

Yep, same here. I was expecting Bosko B to then turn up!

The criticism I saw on the Heck thread about hypocrisy for buying CL tickets makes me laugh.  I boycott as much as possible places like Costa as I prefer to give my money to local coffee shops.  People can’t quite do the same with football club supporting.  It’s still fine to criticise things if you don’t agree with them and still not boycott it.

Will the refreshments be one pound fity in the away end?

Imagine that! Last time the West Ham lot payed 1.50 for a pint the Ford Sierra GL had just rolled off the production line at Dagenham...

Beer will be the normal price, only the jellied eels are £1.50.

I really do like the shirt and especially the badge. Why they didn't go for a replica of the kit from that period, which, if the historical kits site is to be believed wasn't black but a red and blue hooped effort? Still, we have an old photo to work from so it has to be black and black is more marketable isn't it?

Expect a price of £150 a shirt.

I doubt I’d get the black replica shirt (unless they release a version without the text around the badge), but looks like they’ve nailed it with the adidas casual wear…the claret hoody, adidas detail in black and stand-alone lion in black. Take my money.

Link to the casual wear please.
This is what came up on my Google feed with a few pics…

https://www.soccerbible.com/performance/football-apparel/2025/01/adidas-marks-aston-villa-s-150th-anniversary-with-heritage-inspired-jersey/

…I trust the hoody that Ramsey is wearing is claret rather than red as per the image below.

That looks like the cover of a Sopranos DVD.

In the anniversary spirit, the shirt should retail at 15 quid, surely?

Yes.

Its OK imo.

The font they've used should be the font the club use regularly. Have thought this for a while. Gold, mosaics, Victorian architecture, old English style is all part of the club's history. These things should be a bigger part of the identity.

I'm glad that fucking star isn't on it.

We're Aston Villa FC not 1982 FC.

The original shirt was black with a very big red lion in the middle of the shirt.
My lad and I have a replica from an American company which we paid about £25 for about 10 or 12 years ago.
It's excellent quality with a really nice motif on the neck at the back.
I'd post pics but it's not in my reach atm and won't be until Friday!

The guy who was selling them asked me to push it to friends etc at the time. I did. But no-one seemed interested.
If I can find out any more, and if he's still going, I'll post the info.

It was my original thought at the time of Heck pushing the 150 anniversary.
The kit is so simple, so classic, so good.
Black shirt, big red lion on the front.
Class.

Is it likely to be limited edition or will they be available on sale in six months?
