The Carlsberg is still overpriced.

I said at the start of the season that I wasn't keen on the new black colour scheme of the players' tunnel. Watching the players line up tonight, I wondered if it was designed to tie in with the anniversary kit.

Really liked the claret hoodie Unai Emery was wearing at the press conference shown on the news earlier.  Think it's part of the 150th range.

It looked like this is what was shown on the big screens before the game. https://x.com/AVFCOfficial/status/1877806617762107741

Will we keep the shirt throughout the competition?

Would have thought no chance….Betano / Trade Nation aren’t gonna give away their space continually…fair play to them doing it for a fake of terrestrial tv

The shirt looked great.

Saw some pictures of our 140th anniversary “celebration” on X (a 1-1 draw with Southampton in front of 24,000) - lots to critique on the commercial side notwithstanding, we’ve come a long way.

The shirt was great but mostly because there was no sponsor’s logo plastered across the front and no player names on the back plus big old-fashioned plain numbers. Am I a conservative now?

Yes, and with a big C !

The 1874 United Kingdom general election saw the incumbent Liberals, led by William Gladstone, lose decisively, even though their party won a majority of the votes cast. Benjamin Disraeli's Conservatives won the majority of seats in the House of Commons, largely because they won a number of uncontested seats. It was the first Conservative victory in a general election since 1841.

Yeah it was.

Although it starts with a big error as the gas lamp wasn’t in the heart of Birmingham!

And in all likelihood never existed.

Very poor.
