What a fantastic result/performance going into the Christmas period.  Our midfield was absolutely imperious  Big shout out for Onana. He's not a player who does a world class pass or hits an amazing free kick but my god he's a massive addition to our midfield engine room. Our very own Patrick Viera.

Grealish was moaning about lack of injury time played in the first half.  I’m no expert but it might not be too far for him to be suggesting Emiliano was time wasting.

Tielemans, Duran, Rogers all contenders for man of the match
But No bad players today great team performance all over the pitch

I’m Durans biggest fan on here and I thought he was immense with the ball and without
Anyone thinking his all-round game isn’t great needs to watch the match again

Not only his all round game, he's linking up with Rogers superbly, they're playing like a proper front two.

One takeaway from today was how much quicker we got the ball forward.  Dont know what everyone else thinks but we are at our best when play like thatas opposed to the slow patient attacking play.

If we can get a diaby type -someone quick this wpuld massively help us continue like this
Exactly.
When we move the ball a tad quicker it allows Tielemans to turn and pass/run and Rogers to attack the holes in midfield. We are so much better and more chances are created. The really slow stuff allows the opposition to get in shape, fill the gaps and prepare to defend.

We played some beautiful stuff in midfield today and, as a few have said, the shape and balance of Onana and Kamara, then Tielemans, Rogers and McGinn in front of them was incredibly strong both defensively and offensively...I hear what everyone is saying about Rogers and Tielemans and the MOTM thing, but have a good look at Bouba... he was magnificent!

Thank you Villa! Merry Christmas!

You're not alone mate, he's just so cool you feel he wouldn't want people fussing over him, just does his thing, runs the entire game and goes home.

Tbh, I thought he was moaning about anything and everything and constantly wanting our players to be given yellows...and Bernado spent a good half a minute complaining to the lino on his side of the pitch about an incident on the OTHER side of the pitch.....very simply trying to intimidate him!

I think it's more complicated than this. Man City play a high line, commit players forward and try to control territory. That means a fast break sees us with space to play into and we up the tempo to make use of it. When teams are more defensive that space isn't there so we try to create it by moving players around.

Teams know what we're trying to do so it's not going to be easy unless they think they're better than us and can afford to risk giving us space. It's why we beat Bayern as well.

Duran has the shirt now and can see why .  .Watkins came on and missed his usual one on one .
And your point is? Did Duran not miss an easier one on one after 15 seconds🙄

Our players playing for England is jinxed.
Ollie hasn’t been the same since June.
But he will be back just in time for season run in.

Above anything else, it was nice to see us even attempt to play with tempo today, that has been missing for a while.

I posted a video Stuntpegg did at Leipzeig / Villa the other day. Right at the end she records "Boubacar Kamara. He is some footballer!"
