It's great to have both got now, it's nice to imagine the sinking feeling we've had to endure for decades when we take off Duran only for Ollie Watkins to be standing there.

It wont last though and I think it will end with Ollie leaving in the summer, big last payday for him too.

Duran has the shirt now and can see why .  .Watkins came on and missed his usual one on one .
   And your point is? Did Duran not miss an easier one on one after 15 seconds🙄

I really don’t get the point of this sort of post. Ollie has been magnificent for us and he’s a great pro, never causes a fuss, gets of with his game with a brilliant work ethic, yet some fools can’t help themselves and have a dig, even after a brilliant performance and three points.

For the time being we've two great strikers to pick from.
Not many teams have that luxury.
Didn't the originator of this post have some very critical words for Duran once?
Duran rightfully has the shirt now, but don't just dismiss Watkins because we're lucky to have such a great option.

When Youri and Morgan are on song we are almost unstoppable. Today was our best of this season.

However I am still annoyed with them for throwing away a win last week.

Looks like Onana had a tasty exchange with Joe G at full time , hence then a few stepping in to calm things down. Joe was a classless clown today in fairness .

First time I have been able to get online since the final whistle, but god we were good today.

Emery finally moved Youri to 10, and boy did he repay that. Such a wonderful passer of a football that having him 15 yards closer to the front players made a monumental difference. Youri, man of the match, truly brilliant display. He is so talented, and we need to keep finding ways to play him in roles where he can hurt teams. Played a really unselfish role all season and deserves all the credit for the way he has played at times.

Onana - showed discipline today I was worried he didn't have, but today showed that him and Bouba could be the strongest double pivot in the league.

Kamara - Pep talking about him after the game says it all, there will be a lot of eyes on him in Jan and next summer. Got to keep him.

The solid foundation was then backed up by McGinn, Rogers and Duran. Duran showed that if he can have that all round game, then Watkins has got a long and hard road. Watkins needs to get the bit between his teeth and massively work on his finishing. He started the season with an injury and has a chance to get fresh, get his mojo back and be a huge player second half of the season. Duran took his chance, led the line, kept the tempo and even the one he missed early doors, the keeper still had to get full stretch to save. You couldn't ask for more.

Final words for Rogers. So much better coming from wide and deep at home. His goal was deserved from the work put in from the start. He has so much potential, he and Duran are on the precipice of being genuine superstars of the game. We need to build around them, keep adding players with their potential. Phenomenal goal and assist. Final product was there today. Scary if he gets that part of his game consistent.

If we can build momentum and get Ramsey and Bailey back in the fold and keep key players fit we could be onto a big 2nd half of the season (a reverse of last season in effect) . Don't think we've even hit our heights yet and are still 5th and in touch. Next two games will be tough and 4 points would be a good return .

Duran has the shirt now and can see why . When he goes off we seem to lose a lot up front . Watkins came on and missed his usual one on one .

I hope we avoid a situation where the same players are picked each week until they’re knackered/injured/out of form.  I reckon the following can be rotated without the quality dropping:

Digne = Maatsen
Onana = Kamara (although I’d prefer both given today’s performance, and Barkley used as the player to manage their minutes)
Watkins = Duran
Rogers = Ramsey
Tielemans = McGinn (in the advanced role)

Where we need to improve:

Cash > Ned/Bogarde
Konsa > Carlos/Mings
Bailey > Jaden

Agree on this , RB being an absolute priority.
We had the benefit of a clear week today but we do struggle with 2 big games a week. Probably would be fine playing Conference / Prem / Conference / Prem but Champions League is another level .

Yes and it’s no coincidence they had a solid midfield structure behind them.

Been moving house and not seen a ball kicked since Red Bull.
We're we great or were we just better than city?
I've heard we looked amazing.

Great to see Onana and Kamara finally playing together ... and, as I felt would be, they were excellent together.
We could have scored 3-4 goals today and it would not have flattered us.
Special mentions to Cash, Tielemans, McGinn, Rogers and Duran.
Digne was slightly off it, in my view.
Torres was both poor  - some of his passing was cringeworthy - and also put in some difficult scenarios by both Martinez and Konsa.

Grealish played okay but the performance confirmed my view that he really isn't a left-winger: he'd have been far more effective as a #10 today, because his passing and ball control were excellent.
