Last season before we played them, when I found out Rodri was out I knew we'd win. This year no rodri and they're in all sorts of disarray. There's never going to be a better time to join the pile on and stick it to them.

We were in a very rich vein of form then and confidence was high. We are no where near that level now. Citeh have been poor but it wont stay that way.

There is seemingly something quite awry with them isn't there, but as fun as it is to see them struggle like in the olden days, I agree that it probably won't last.

A team with that much quality can't stay shit forever, but whatever happens, they've certainly lost the air of invincibility that great teams - including ones that have been financially doping for a decade - have.

We're so losing this. Of course we are. Baffles me that anyone could doubt it.

Not because we're bad or they're good or whatever, because it is absolutely written that, given a chance to do something really great and funny, Aston Villa will flop to disappointment.

Ollie used to play wide didn't he ?
Is there an option to play Ollie in Bailey's position and Duran up front ?

Yes. There's also the option to play Watkins at centre half, but it's just as unlikely to happen.

I think it's a bit more serious than recent form just dropping off temporarily. Injuries and age have caught up with some of their key players like Stones, KdB and Walker. Their signings since the treble have been in the main dreadful. Letting Palmer and Alvarez go seem really poor decisions too.

And Rogers for £1m, the divs.

Anything could happen. Two inconsistent teams, potentially excellent on their day, prone to silly mistakes the next.

Fingers crossed.

While this is the attitude we'll always struggle to be successful.
