Gibbs White back for Forest. That is good news for when they meet Bournemouth last day.

And hopefully keen to show that he should be in the World Cup squad.

It’d be crazy if he’s not in the squad, he should be really starting considering all the competition in that position has been underwhelming.

It's definitely an interesting conundrum for the "you should pick the best team based on their club form" crowd.

Was it Hodgson who tried that for England before? Went with club form players from likes of Liverpool and it was a disaster. At least Southgate and Tuchel recognise you have to make a team out of the players. Form comes and goes. Not sure if leaving Foden at home counts as much of a statement, or TAA for that matter, but Tuchel is going to leave some better individuals at home. MGW is a very good player, tactically flexible and was mismanaged by some clown managers this season. He's in far better form than Rogers for some time.

Probably should be in the international thread but it’ll be Interesting to see what he does as some of the competitors for central attacking positions are seriously underperforming for a variety of reasons, Palmer, Foden, Rogers and Bellingham. He’ll definitely pick the latter two, possibly all four but wouldn’t be surprised if one of either Palmer or Foden miss out, probably Foden and MGW comes in.

West Ham are playing two teams who should see Spurs as rivals and should lose on purpose. Spurs are playing two teams who should see Spurs as rivals and will be motivated to beat them.

With Millwall having to ply their trade in the championship for another year.. West Ham in the the relegation spot..does anyone else see West Ham getting two wins and some dodgy VAR to keep them up? I'm sure the authorities don't want West Ham v Millwall next year, but will the London media darlings Spurs be sacrificed to stop Hammers and Wall playing each other.. Gonna be an interesting week or two.. I see Chelsea beating Spurs and Spurs drawing with Everton.. West Ham beating a lacklustre Newcastle and Leeds folding on the last day to send Spurs down.

I suspect that you may be overthinking it.

TAA  is a strange player - talented but I cant ever think of seeing an england team against decent oposition that he made better.  Plus you have to deal with teh fact the whole media call him Trent - like his the neighbours boy

It's an odd one. International football can involve a lot of playing against teams that drop deep and surely TAA would be ideal in such games as an extra ball player. Or even if you need to open up the game he's a great sub to have. It's not as if there's prime Walker, James or even Trippier there for competition. Logic suggests better to be looking at him in the squad than looking for him. But managers like to make examples at times.

The worst thing a manager can do is try to squeeze a player in I guess and upset the balance of the team. Southgate's gamble playing TAA in midfield was crazy, that might work once but eventually will be found out. That's my fear with Lindelof in midfield. Worked v Forest, hopeless v Burnley but could be badly exposed next Wednesday.

No Reece James? Is that who you mean? Why not?
