I doubt we’ll win another game this season.

Of we don't win on Thursday our confidence will be completely through the floor. Not a chance we'll win another game in that scenario. What a moronic decision.

We'll still qualify through both available routes.

I don't think we will and frankly after last night Unai and the players don't deserve it.

Beat Forest, beat Burnley, beat Liverpool at home as an apology for last night and beat Braga or the other team in the final.
Man City may be one step too far as all our players are still hungover so we put out the youth team. Arsenal make a formal complaint, everybody laughs.

If Bogarde is our holding midfielder v Forest we will lose the game.  We’re relying on other teams not picking up results in the PL and that might work, but I’m starting to think it probably won’t.  Can you imagine missing out on fucking goal difference.  Again.  It might well happen.

How would we not deserve it?

We beat Burnley next week, its done. After 36 games. But we wouldn't deserve it because we rested players for a European semi final and played poorly in the lead up?

No we're not. We're reliant on beating Burnley or Liverpool or Man City or drawing with all 3. If other sides don't get as good a result as we achieve on any given game day, then whatever.

Lets make it all make sense though while the collective wallowing takes place from some.

Both things can be true - we’ll probably make it, and if we do it’s clearly a good achievement. But we are properly limping to the line, and have been pretty hopeless in the league (for the most part) for a while.

Last night’s “performance” on the back of failing to score against Fulham or Forest, means it’s reasonable enough for people to be concerned about Thursday and also the possibility we’ll need others to fail rather than us close it out in the league.

We've had about 6 shots on target in 3 games, we need to suddenly click again, which isn't looking likely.

Massive week incoming. Either way we're going to need a bit of a rebuild. Can either attempt it with champions league money, or without. Please don't balls it up.

For the second game running I'm more concerned about the absence of the player next to him. At Forest he slept through the first 30 minutes. Last night he abandoned Bogarde to go walk about, looked confused and dazed as the game passed him by, no leadership, no drive, just frustration. Not sure what's happened to Youri but we desperately need him back playing like we know he can.

Maybe Barkley is the answer as I doubt he broke sweat last night and proved he's no number 10 unless we're talking buses.

If we finish 5th we deserve it, no matter how the season is ending.

Since winning at Chelsea 27th Dec our league record is PL17 W5 D4 L8 scoring 19 goals, we'll be in the CL next season but it's a piss poor run.

wondering if Unai wanted to put a bit of jeopardy into Forest and Spurs' win would drag them back into the relegation battle?
