If there was one more week one of Brentford or Bournemouth would have caught us.

I'm surprised we're even still in the running. If we're being honest, we haven't been very good at all for half of the games we've played this season, if not more.

This, 100%

We've had some moments this season but on the whole, we've been pretty meh...

I’d be more surprised if we did from here.  We are shite right now.

Yeah, it's weird. We've been turgid shit for the majority of this season, yet an absolute golden streak has seen us into the CL places - a position which Unai and the players seem absolutely determined to chuck away right now.

I wouldn't be surprised if Brighton or Bournemouth catch us. I think Brentford won't be able to.

I’d ignored this thread after Sunderland because obviously we’d done it. Who are Bournemouth playing again?

I suspect we are hoping that Burnley are on the beach by the time we play them next Sunday.

We should be out of sight. But it’s Villa so it’ll go to the wire. Totally and inexplicably self inflicted too.

Yes, but only because Bournemouth will run out games to catch us.

Yes, but only because Bournemouth will run out games to catch us.

And that's fine.

Emery seems to have put all his eggs in two baskets - somehow getting through on Thursday and then beating Burnley on Sunday.

We have thrown away a huge advantage over the last few months.

It’s fucking bananas how we are eating up all the contingency we have. Let’s be clear, if tonight is the level we can expect we’re not getting another point. I’m staggered by how we utterly surrendered tonight.

Let’s hope this is the wake up call - I do keep saying that though.
