Yeah Im still positive.  Basically if we dont qualify, we will have gone through our worst period under Unai.

Were not in great form - and the chasing pack has found some.  But i think it is highly unlikely they all out perform us in the run in.

Some of these games recently have been unlucky - and some awful refereeing.  If we could win the next 3 home games - I think this dip will be over and well be pretty close.  Beat Man Utd or Chelsea as well and well be pretty much there!

The last few weeks have been pretty brutal. Us dropping points since the injuries and Man U and Chelsea going on good runs. Any side that missed 3 first choice midfielders at the same time for 2 months+ is going to suffer.

I know he was better today in the first half but Sancho, as well as Bailey, Elliot, and Guessand have offered basically nothing combined all season. It's put massive pressure on Ollie and Rogers to deliver every week and only Rogers has done it consistently.

I might get some optimism back but currently it feels like we've blown it over the last couple of weeks.

We haven't blown anything. The three injuries in midfield are just going to make it tougher than it could have been.

I agree, the disruption to the team has been too great.

It's not even that.  It's Manchester United's recent resurgence that has shifted things a bit.  The Brighton and Leeds games at home look very important now.

Well we haven't blown it because we're still 3rd and there are 13 games to go. But 5 points from the last 15 is pretty underwhelming and the fact that the 2 teams immediately below us have got 12/12 points in their last 4 games feels like a pretty major swing away from us.

It might be underwhelming, but bloody hell. Teams goes through ups and downs, we’re in a down and we’ve had a couple of ropey home results but also taken 4 points from two tricky away games. The next couple of home games are important, but we’re in a great position.

Losing at home to Everton and Brentford certainly hasn’t helped

Losing at home to Forest, and drawing at home to Burnley, certainly hasn't Liverpool. Don't worry, we will qualify for the CL. Twice.

Indeed - we might not make it, and if we don’t we’ll have ourselves to blame. But I think the high likelihood remains we will make it - every team goes through rocky form. Even with the injuries we have some brilliant players and an exceptional manager. We’re still in a very good spot.

I said back months ago we needed to cling on like grim death to the top 4, never got how the media thought we was in contention for the top spot, even Gabby on TV was saying '' why not top spot'' its delusional, I also thought it would be down to us having a brilliant Jan transfer window like last season, we haven't, so for me the unlikely but best route now is Europa, Unai knows how to do this and I think this is our best shot,

It's going to be tight as fuck and we will struggle for the rest of the season imo. Those looking at early season form and saying "we'll be alright" might as well be looking at a different team. We have lost our three most important midfielders. That isn"t something any team in the world is getting away with.

I thought we were doing well this season despite a sub-standard attack (minus Rogers), because we have an exceptional goalkeeper, defence and midfield. We've lost one of those. That is a problem.

It's likely to be like the season we finished fourth I think where we limp towards the line.  Suppose we were a bit fortunate that season that Spurs tripped up at the end and we got over the line.  When you look at the other teams in the top 6 now, it's going to be tough competition.

Or maybe it’s an opportunity to step up. Reality is we don’t have to be anywhere near as good as we were in the first half of the season. We just need to be decent, which we are more than capable of. Every midfielder being fit gave us a small chance of the title - but the squad now can deliver enough for top 5.

Massively agree. Posted similar in, I think, this thread a few weeks ago. Really strange repeat of history. Hopefully the same outcome.
