much better half

mings looked great when we needed him , kamara was class , rogers has improved so far and even mcgin  and tielmans .

very happy , they all look confident now ,

thou bailey is still a bit weak , easy losing possession at times .

I think even though Bailey has lost it a few times he’s provided a threat and carried the ball well, I think he’s slowly getting a bit better game by game. Still a way to go yet mind.
hope so , there was one move he shoul dhave played in watkins who would have been on goal and lost it and that last attack summed him up but if you cant do it now when we are playing like this you will never do ot.

I think it’s a stretch to draw any conclusion about Mings/Torres, Brentford have produced nothing to threaten the defence (a bit like the Champions League games we’ve won). We’ve done brilliantly, but this doesn’t illustrate anything about the defence.

Fuck me. So defending well isn’t important.

Not what I’m saying, Brentford haven’t done anything. This isn’t a demonstration of our defence being fixed or anything. We’ve defended fine, which is great.

I think they've looked dangerous in flashes but we have just coped with it very well

I've had to mute this commentary
Was that before or after the 'Frank exchange' 'gag'?

I think hard to judge defence as brentford have offered virtually nothing going forward

But when called upon looked a lot more solid

It is, because the last few games, we haven’t.

This defence is easily our best line up. Mings is perfectly capable on the ball but adds so much more in strength, organisation and leadership.

Mings is clearly the best centre half at the club at actually defending but also offers such an important presence for us.

Mcginn at 10 works really well against teams like this as well, him and Watkins have worked so hard off the ball.

Against the better teams Carlos plays better. Against the less good teams he is bollocks. McGinn better central than others at the moment. When Jacob is back on left it may be a different story.

Most of the times he has lost it, he hasn't really had much in the way of options.

So the Champions League doesn’t count? There is no way Brentford have been better than Champions League opposition. We looked solid enough in those games. We’ve looked solid here, but it is no different in terms of the threat we’ve faced.

Maybe the defence is better, what I’m saying is basing it on that half from Brentford is way too premature.

Torres is a much better footballer than Mings but Konsa-Mings better combo. Just need to work out the opposition and who to play. I mean Carlos looks like Vidiic v Man City or Arsenal or Juventus and Liam Ridgewell v e.g Palace

Well apart from playing a key role in the penalty and forcing a good save.
