Shame, perhaps we could have picked up a winger in the middle aisle.

Judging by one of our threads, I think we did.

Ha ha, good point.

....................Olsen
.........Konsa, Mings, Torres
............Kamara, Onana
.........Cash, McGinn, Maatsen
................Tielemans
.................Watkins

Unfortunately that team selection won't happen and their pace will expose us again to another loss!

From memory the last time we played Brentford Konsa was right back and he got absolutely destroyed second half. he played very centrally and they just kept rampaging down the left.

Another midweek home game when the Dogshitters are at home too. Ridiculous from a travel perspective.

You only need to add about a thousand people travelling above normal for the Birmingham transport network to grind to a complete halt.

I fully expect to be made to look a twat but I reckon we win the next two league games and then Leipzig and we go on a lovely little run full of confidence to get back on track. Deluded you say? Probably.

Konsa is horrid at RB! He always defends far too narrow in that position. At centre back his form needs a lot of improvement. Another reason to bring Mings back in.

I worry that too much of the former has affected the latter.

A few weeks ago I would have backed us to cruise through this fixture. Now I think Brentford are just too strong for us despite their inconsistency.
Our best hope for our next win is Southampton and if we fail then I’ll be ordering some first class Japanese knives from John Lewis.

Unless I can get them from Aldi‘s middle aisle.

If brentford are too strong for us we may as well settle for finish in the bottom half this season.

Depressed, 8 games no victory.
Our way of playing has been neutralised see Palace manager comments as an example.
I think we’re going to muddle through to Jan and raise ourselves when the CL matches arrive.
I expect us to concede first half; Watkins to be wasteful, Rogers to start, Phil to start and subs make no impact.
2-0 Bees with post match comments to be ‘consistency’ , transition, thanks to supporters, and in rinse and repeat for Saints.
Good while it lasted :-(

Maybe but that’s how I see things now. I still hope and pray that Unai will turn things around over the coming months if not weeks.
Can’t help but start the 40 point safety countdown though.

Time to get back to basics , with added caution with Olsen likely to play . Assume Onana will be absent again and Ramsey .

-------- Olsen ----------
Cash Konsa Mings Digne
-- McGinn - Kamara ---
Tielemans ------ Buendia
--- Watkins --- Bailey ---
