Lose this and the knives will be out, unfortunately our defense for a while looks to be under anaesthetic, dozy as you like. And up front we've forgotten to get the ball wide and put crosses in(5th worst in the league) and play down the middle and run into dead ends.No one has seen or heard of our midfield for weeks. I understand “knives out”, in this context, to mean people wanting the manager gone. Which would be an absolutely ridiculous opinion to hold. I’ve criticised him elsewhere for the tactical issues we’ve got, which I think is related to his stubbornness.

If it just means that people will moan like we’re the worst team in the world, then we’re already there.
