Lose this and the knives will be out, unfortunately our defense for a while looks to be under anaesthetic, dozy as you like. And up front we've forgotten to get the ball wide and put crosses in(5th worst in the league) and play down the middle and run into dead ends.No one has seen or heard of our midfield for weeks. On that basis, sad to say I can only see another loss here, really hope I'm wrong, as we desperately need a win.

If the knives are out after this, regardless of the result, we deserve the club to be turned into a fucking Aldi.

Maybe a change in formation to a back 3 might happen to free up Torres on the left to be playmaker. I would definitely start Mings.

Brentford to have one of their two best games of the season, Villa to play shit. On recent form we can probably throw in a bent ref, too. Draw at best.

Why? If a manager takes the plaudits when things go well, then they can take the criticism when things go badly. It's only opinions, in any case. Just like it's only ever owners who get to fire managers, whatever the fans think.

I understand “knives out”, in this context, to mean people wanting the manager gone. Which would be an absolutely ridiculous opinion to hold. I’ve criticised him elsewhere for the tactical issues we’ve got, which I think is related to his stubbornness.

If it just means that people will moan like we’re the worst team in the world, then we’re already there.

I hasten to add I for one won't be going to the cutlery drawer, but a few will if we lose. We need to stop the rot and quick.

No need to turn us into a value supermarket just yet then.

Shame, perhaps we could have picked up a winger in the middle aisle.

Saw some “Technical Trousers” in the middle aisle and still don’t know what they are.

I mean they were technically trousers.

Judging by one of our threads, I think we did.
