It's not, but it is "their derby" after probably Blackburn. A bit similar to Brighton and Palace being a derby. I'm guessing Lancashire Police must be shit if they can't police both games though. One will be finished before the other one as well depending on 12:30 or 17:30 times.
I’ll take amfys view.

Which is the same isn't it? Blackpool is Preston's derby team but it shouldn't be an issue.

What about that Fleetwood lot? I've heard their fans stay up until half past 10.

Talk of the game being on the Sunday, Blackpool host Bolton on the Sat at 3pm so that may influence any Police guidance.

So that would mean Brighton away being put back to the Wednesday?

I just hope Hookeysmith hasn't planned a night out on the Wednesday.

THanks but i am ok for Wednesdays :)

Like the West Midlands hate scale:-

Villa hate Blues, dislike West Brom, don't care about Wolves and quite like Walsall.
Blues hate Villa, dislike Wolves, don't care about West Brom and quite like Walsall.

Well I take it all back! Apparently Blackpool regard Bolton as their 2nd biggest rival and it goes back to this:

All this talk of Prestons proud history. Just google William Sudell, they were the Man City of their day.
Probably did us out of another double. Should be punished retrospectively and thrown out of this years Cup so we get a bye to the semi.

Quote
On this day … 6 April 1895
The Preston Guardian reported that Major William Sudell, founder of Preston North End, had been jailed for three years for embezzling thousands of pounds from the cotton mill where he was manager. The court accepted that he did not benefit personally, but used the money, £5,326 in total, to pay players’ wages and other expenses. On his release, he emigrated to South Africa, where he worked as a sports journalist until his death in 1911.

What a bounder! Once Citeh' 115 charges turn into convictions, can we get PNE's double expunged from the records?

Is it fair to assume the length of time it's taking them to announce the actual dates of the games demonstrates the difficulty of shifting the league fixtures the following midweek?

It seems foolish (pun intended) to have scheduled half the fixtures on the Tuesday.

Worst possible outcome for us is playing on the Sunday and having our match against Brighton moved to Wednesday, while Brighton v Forest is on Saturday and Forest v Man U stays on Tuesday. That gives Brighton an extra day rest before our midweek game and Forest an extra day rest before our weekend game. That's what will happen, then.

Don't think anyone will play the Friday after internationals. Forest will stay on Tuesday as it's a TV game and they'd have to move Notts County on Wednesday if they move it. I think Bournemouth Man City will move to Sunday as they always want one of the "big" teams in the Sunday slot. Choice between Villa or Palace for the other Sunday game and they'll choose us to annoy me.

Could we not just scrap the Intl matches? No one likes them.
