We played Vale in 1990, 36k in Villa Park and then again in 2006 with only 30k there. I can't imagine with either of those there were 12000 Vale fans?

That fateful 2-3 game. I can never recall MU fans going all the way up the Holte. I'm sure that's never happened. They had the whole original one tier Witton and the seats behind the goal in the League Cup in 1992, 10k in total. Liverpool had the same area in the FA Cup in 1988 but it was still terraced then so more like 12k.The 1-0 when Deano scored? I was at that in the Holte. Don't recall them having the whole Witton though. I would have been right next to them in the right side of the HE.

Ahh just realised the other reason for the change in the away fan seats is the amount of GA+ in the North Stand now. There is hardly any in the Upper Witton Lane - no doubt they will block off the front 4 or 5 rows too - as they do when Villa fans are above the away fans.

Looks like they have made it the 150th Anniversary Match. (even though its in the 151st year)Presumably to increase the attendance?
