On a saturday, West Ham would probably have brought around 4000.
On a Friday night, 1500 tops.

The £85k bounty for televising the game represents a loss

Nah, they'll sell out.

Same as last year a Friday night game and televised . Boring as .
I might go to this if prices are reasonable as it's always handy for going out afterwards and great if we win

Wasn’t this announced last week? Friday night is a shit time to be playing, especially those of us who rely on public transport to get back to London.

Atmosphere might be good in Premier League Friday night games when there are 40,000 there. In front of 25,000, I doubt it will be fantastic. Friday night games should be reserved for clubs that play in cities with a functioning public transport system.

On the plus side, we'll be the first team to make it into the 4th round.

No we won't. Three games on Thursday and one earlier kick off on Friday.

I don’t recall the 1-1 with Sheffield Utd on a Friday being a good atmosphere. In fact it was as flat as a witch’s tit.

edit - swore I typed 1-1 in the first place.

1-1? Or is it a different Sheff Utd game that I've forgotten? Also, are witches particularly known for being poorly-endowed?

Yeah I was there. We lost and it was very grim.
