And they’ve worked that out. Five front players defend closely together in the centre and we haven’t worked out we have to attach wide! They’ve snuffed out Tielemans!

Get Mings on.

Yep. Get the best defender at the club in to the defence. I don't care who for or how

Serious questions need to be asked of Unai now. If we lose this they need to seriously consider if he's the man for us. Not really.

I wouldnt go that far just yet mate. We are in a rut but its clear to me the summer recruitment has been dog shit. I raised this in summer when i said we hadnt strengthened the first team at all esp after loaning enzo and illing jr that gives us more squad depth.

I really do not understand how they thought selling diaby and luiz and not replacing them, and not addressing right back  that we would do better or at least match last season.

You’ve been told time and time again - we were not allowed to spend much due PSR rules and FFP UEFA rules.

Problem is midfield, the problem is always midfield. This system is just too open unless the central two are very careful, very cautious, and very disciplined. As it is, there's just a big fucking hole.

Correct. Tielemans and Barkley have been unimpressive and the break for their first goal started with Barkley failing to keep possession.

Kamara is just huge for how we play. Frustrating we've got him back only to lose him to injury again. Onana has also done alright off the ball in the recent games.

Tielemans and Barkley are more types who want to get in opposition half and probe, I would've personally played SJM centrally today and we might do that if we bring Philogene on.

Exactly - and with little recovery pace this happens.

Barkley and Teilemens are both better a bit further forward, or at least need someone alongside them.  Dougie was great as he didnt give the ball away, Onanas good as he has so much strength and ability to rescue situation - and Kamara's reading of the game and ability to keep the ball means it works.

This just isnt working - combined with Bailey and Jayden, and to a lesser extent Rogers not being anywhere near the best we're in a bad place without the players to come on to change it.

My prediction.  Emery will leave just before the last 16 of the Champions League.  His assistant will take over.  Emery will go to the Blues within a couple of weeks of leaving.

Cash will be on for sure soon. Bogarde is just a CB playing at RB so being behind he won't offer much.

Yank McGinn.  Tielemans further forward with Kamara and Barkley in midfield.
