Awful performance - so easy to score against.  every time they break they look like scoring - no pace in the midfield or defensive.

This is a really shit team were playing - we huffed and puffed and got in it.  Its just not working whatever were trying to do this season.  Our build up play is shit and leaves less potent going forward, and awful at the back.

Our defense is just unacceptable.

Apparently Unai has been spending even longer than usual watching videos this week in preparation.

Videos of what, they didn’t say.

I wonder if like the rest of you lot on here he’s addicted to some reality shit like MAFS or and he’s not been studying Palace.

Serious questions need to be asked of Unai now. If we lose this they need to seriously consider if he's the man for us. Not really.

Blimey.

We are so shakey when teams hit us on the break.  That said we’ve missed a penalty and hit the bar.  And they’ve been very very lucky a few times.

We will win this 4-2.

Any chance we can just kick our corners into touch?

Same old...

Too many very poor performances, including the manager.

Utter pig ignorance from Emery that he's done nothing to sort out our shambles of a defence in almost 12 months.

I thought the first team was weaker and the squad overall was stronger. It's now clear the first team is far weaker without Diaby and Luiz (and an ineffective Bailey), and the squad isn't any stronger. We've lost 20+ goals and not made up for it just loosing those 2. We can't control or dictate play like we did last season.

Crikey. I hope our playing this badly isn’t ‘more or less’ part of the plan again.

We have played pretty well in general but been done on the break twice. That's shite and shouldn't happen but if we score the penalty, we take a deserved lead into half time and those are the 'fine margins' managers talk about.

I would have nominated Youri as our new penalty taker too but had no idea his record is so poor. Hard to see who else would take them if Duran isn't on the pitch.

Not advocating the tin tack or anything remotely close to it.

But defending is a key part of the game and we've been mostly bollocks at it over an extended period of time now. Way back to March by my reckoning.

Two decent balls down our left and we're torn to shreds. Dreadful stuff.

This is just unacceptable- another week where we concede at least 2. Are you actually going to do anything about it Unai?

We’ve been sussed out, been the same for a while now. Lose this and don’t get anything out of the next 2 or 3, the owners will absolutely fire Unai and it’ll be a sad day.

I wouldnt go that far just yet mate. We are in a rut but its clear to me the summer recruitment has been dog shit. I raised this in summer when i said we hadnt strengthened the first team at all esp after loaning enzo and illing jr that gives us more squad depth.

I really do not understand how they thought selling diaby and luiz and not replacing them, and not addressing right back  that we would do better or at least match last season.

Sarr totally ripped us to shreds on the break twice.

I actually don't think we've been that bad but we're at the stage of the season where we're not scoring when we have momentum and then we give a stupid goal away. Score the penalty and it's a decent enough half.

Rogers constantly giving the ball away and Bailey being hit and miss with his end product is one of the reasons we're not close to last season's levels currently.

I still think we'll win this but obviously need a early second half goal, could be a bit like the Wolves match.

Just me who thought Henderson looked way off his line when making the save, interested to see a replay if he was on the goal line when it was struck.

He looked well off his line on the replay.
