There’s no reason that starting line up could not have won.

A couple poor performances, but it’s good to get Mings, Buendia, Kamara and Kosta game time because we’ll need them later on.

We’ve got to prioritize.

There is such a disconnect between what the club wants and what the fans want.

There is a huge thirst for a trophy among the fans. We did top 4, can we not try and notch another actual achievement in the club honours? been way too long.

I concur, I equally thirst for a trophy. I hope it is one with massive handles, last seen early 80s.

Let's be honest, realistically we have/had more chance of winning the Cariabo Cup than the Champions league or the Premier League so why do we choose to not take it seriously.

Much as I love Emery and want him to see out his career with us I would like to see a journo ask him some tough questions for what is a third successive limp exit from this competition.

Totally agree.

We're a club starved of trophies, it's not acceptable.

I would like us to win whatever we’re in, I really would, but if we went on some mad domestic cup runs and we ballsed up a final league positions people would be going spare that we shouldn’t have prioritised the cups. It’s lose/lose unless we do brilliantly in everything.

I’d personally prioritise getting further/qualifying again for the competition we aren’t guaranteed to be in vs the one we’re in either way until we have the squad (and necessary revenue) to be competing on all fronts.

Really poor approach
Bench that was never going to make an impact.
If no intention to win be honest, give the tickets at cheap prices and dont rip off the fans.

Emre had no interest in winning this, bigger fish to fry. Thought Kamara and Mings looked ready but Buendia and the young keeper nowhere near. It's a competition worth missing.

You’ve Gotta be 35 plus to remember Villa winning a trophy
And you’re on here saying it’s a competition worth missing. what a fucking joke footballs becoming

Mings and Kamara got much needed minutes. Emi was terrible and will be loaned out in Jan. Bailey needs a few weeks out of the side with Philogene or McGinn on the right. Keeper looked dodgy as fuck and the usual Carlos casual pass mistake. All in all, very predictable.

Its just things changing mate, it doesn't feel right but it's unfortunately the way. All the money comes from league and champions league so we need to focus on those.
