In Cash's defence he had 2022 version Bailey in front of him for support . No wonder they targeted that side more . Once McGinn and Rogers went off we lost all physicality in midfield and they just strolled through. .

Yeah but Cash was all over the fucking shop for their goal, just stood there doing fuck all. That's nothing to do with Bailey.
Bailey was stood there forming a one man wall god knows why , Duran is more guilty ball watching doesn't even challenge the goalscorer who he is watching him score

And not sure why you think VAR shouldn't get involved on an absolute rather then a subjective decision.
VAR should not get involved unless they have a top view like the one in the world cup (Japan goal). It's the only way to make a decision taking into account the circumference. The image shown has a gap but both the ball and the line is distorted. So the correct call is stick to on field decision and play to the whistle.

We lost 1 point on the top of the table, and no points against Liverpool, Arsenal or ManU. We gained points on Tottenham and Newcastle and lost out to Chelsea and Man City.

Not bad overall.

True but they all had arguably tougher opponents. We'll see what we're made of in the next two games - but away to Spurs and Liverpool might well see us fall a few places in the table.

Arguably, yes. But then that's the same every single week.

Didn’t Liverpool lose at home to Forest?

Over the course of a season there’s going to be games we should have won or got lucky. We played well which made it annoying not to win but at least our form is looking good.

One defeat in all competitions, on 24th August, so far this season.

The next five weeks we have Spurs A, Liverpool A, Chelsea A, with Palace at home twice in the cup and league. Safe to say we’ll have a much better idea of the direction of our season after this set of games. Really big month.

Yes but on average Liverpool chuck points away less often than we do. Our home record is a bit mediocre as I said before, and has been stretching back quite a way into last season. That's arguanly the strongest squad we've had in many a long year, but we couldn't find a way to beat Bournemouth, which is really disappointing. Given we've got pretty well a full strength squad, we need to start playing a bit better in the league if we're going to finish top 4 again, we should be taking advantage of teams slipping up around us, not just accepting that at least we didn't fall behind them.

Yeah our home form hasnt been as good as last year.  We should be beating one of manure or Bournemouth at home. To fail to beat both is not really good

Our away forms been better but we have some real tests now coming up

Very disappointed with the result given the chances we wasted and the last 10 or so minutes when we turned into Wimbledon of the 80s minus the nous. We lacked any leadership on the pitch in that time.

Yeah, I'm surprised Mcginn went off unless he was one of the 700 that were booked.

He'd been booked and it's a standard Unai sub.

Kamara was probably on to stamp some authority but it didn't happen, he needs games to get back up to speed and he should play 90 mins v Palace this week .

Bournemouth's equaliser was eminently preventable and Unai will be really pissed off about it. Why did Emi launch it when we could of kept possession? Both Duran and Bailey made token gestures to get to the ball. Both failed miserably and there was just a shrug from them as the Bournemouth player legged it down the wing. Barkley gave chase and for some reason decided to bring their player down when he still had Konsa to beat but from that distance he probably thought there wasn't any danger. Then Emi for once in no man's land and and the defending awful. All in all a total clusterfuck of a goal to concede at any time but to do it in the 96th minute was suicidal. Ah well I'm over it now and I'm certain that the boss will be replaying it to them and pointing out those errors. Duran did not cover himself in glory and coupled with his glaring miss in front of the Holte I think it's safe to say he had a bad day at the office.
