I know some of these players are out of favour, or worse, at their clubs, but it feels quite exciting that some of them had offers or interest from clubs that even just a year ago would have been a bigger draw than us. They're choosing us now. Even that Tel lad, who I don't think we did more than enquire about preferred us to Spurs.

I’m not saying there aren’t any risks as with all transfers but overall our squad looks stronger than ever. Let’s hope we have a bit more luck with niggling injuries and the new lads show what they are capable of. UTV

Feels like Rashford is the only "risk" and even if he flops, we've got 2 other new attacking options, along with Rogers, JJ and Watkins. And the potential rewards with Rashford make it a risk worth taking. I won't jinx it, but we'd have to be extremely unlucky for this window not to have been a really great one.

Apparently we only need to leave 1 out of the 5 new signings from the CL squad as we’ve moved on more than 5 players from List A…so basically it will likely be just Garcia that misses out (based on Disasi being able to cover RCB and RB). I know Rashford mentioned playing CL football so imagine the same would have helped with getting Asensio too.

With Philogene going though don't we lose a spot due to mandatory homegrown player rules?

Yes, but we're down to, I think, 17 players on list a so we've got plenty of space on that front, the slots to register new additions is the limiting factor.

Yes, but we're down to, I think, 17 players on list a so we've got plenty of space on that front, the slots to register new additions is the limiting factor.

Which means what Paul?  How many of the new players are we able to add to the squad please?

The squad looks much, much better now. Got shafted a bit on Disasi by the sound of it, paying a loan fee we didn't want to, but all in all, pretty happy with the business we've done.
