^ I agree it's an odd one and seemingly not one we were looking at doing until yesterday, basically, and  questions over whether we need a player in that position are valid.

However writing the guy off entirely based on his history at a club that's been rotting from the inside for years, is unnecessary, and some of the certainty I'm seeing from posters that Rashford himself is the sole problem, are unsettling, to say the least.

Regarding the first paragraph, it has crossed my mind today that him coming in would be a kind of insurance policy in case Arsenal did come back with an offer for Ollie Watkins that we couldn't turn down.

I though the general feeling was Rashford was better coming off the left rather than a central striker.

Pretty certain he’s been quoted saying he prefers playing on the left.
I had a look on Transfermarkt and his 30-goal season was pretty evenly split between playing down the middle and from the left so probably not much in it.

Exciting news. Now get a centre-half by the Monday night and I'll be happy.

Is that all you want?

Wonder what's happening with Disasi? If Felix is off the table since yesterday, if he was ever even on the table  presumably it shouldn't be that hard to revive the deal?

Spurs have gone in for him ( Disasi ) even though terms have been agreed with the player....just not Chelsea.

That's disappointing. It seemed like he was actually our target until the Felix thing got in the way. Shame if it's been derailed because Emery is obsessed with Felix.

Cant see that happening. Those clubs rarely do business with each other

Replacement for Konsa, please.

He may come good again.

But he’s way off it at the moment.

We need to pull the stops out and sign a genuinely good centre half. Konsa needs proper competition once Torres is back.

We won't stop leaking goals though until we stop the idea of Tielemans as a holding mid. Kamara and Barkley is the only combination I would trust in there, and Barkley is made of glass.

Until we sort the defence out we arn't going to improve our league position much, the ease which we concede is so bad. We need at least one possibly two centre halves.

If that fool monchi had any common sense he would be on the phone tonight trying to get him back. That would create a massive buzz around the fanbase to get him back

This is the same Douglas Luiz who disappeared for half a season, was trying to get himself sent off at times, giving free kicks away on the edge of our own box?  that one?  The one who apologised to the fans for really poor performances?  Let's move on shall we?  We need centre backs and the same players who were excellent last season to find some form and stop being anonymous on the pitch.

The same Douglas  luiz who has scored more goals than youri and onana combined this season in premier league goals you mean?

No shame  in resigning ex players  steve!
