Gomes is out of contract in the summer, so you'd reckon most of the league will be interested in him on a free. Imagine other teams without a functioning midfield would probably be more attractive to him though.

We can only register 3 new players for Champions league. One of them has to be a new centre back, presumably Malan will be another one. That only leaves one more space for Garcia or Felix or another striker. Someone is going to miss out.

If we lose five players from the squad we registered at the start, we can register an extra player (so four)

Diego Carlos, Buendia, Gauci, Philogene, Duran.

If we lose another two, it goes up to five new ones, but that seems unlikely.

I doubt Chelsea are going to do us any favours. It's quiet likely they will dick us about until the clock runs out. I'm sure that Emery & Monchi will have accounted for this.
