I can see us spending some decent money on a centre half before Monday, loan for Felix or Ascensio, and then spend a bit of cash in the summer on someone of the quality of Mbeumo/Cunha

Surely felix on loan is best option for us? If they reject that then i would like elswhere.

I much prefer cunha

Cunha would cost double Felix’s fee I reckon and probably near his ceiling price.  A performing Felix could easily double in price (I’m assuming we pay similar to what Chelsea paid).  I agree a loan would be ideal for Felix but that would then make the loan of Disasi impossible, so adds further complications.

In summary, I hope Monchi hadn’t planned to sleep over the next few days.

When does the Window Slam Shut?

End of Monday is when we pack our war-chest away until the summer.
Ok - Im assuming the hold up preparing bids is because we're waiting for the paper with the new Company Letterhead to come in, and the fax machine to warm up .

It’s run out of toner and Janice is the only one who knows how to change it and she doesn’t work on Fridays.

Make your mind up. One minute you're saying you like Elswhere, next you want Cunha.

Let me explain for you my position. If we are  after felix then i would prefer a loan. But my personal  preference  is cunha over felix

Whoosh

I think cunha will want less in wages though. Felix is on  crazy wages

What salary do you think he's earning?

The wisdom seems to be £130k a week for Felix at Chelsea. Cunha would want around that I would think.

Don’t know but in totally unrelated and useless information my first wage was £19 a week back in 1978

You could run a car have a couple of good nights out and watch john Gidman and Andy Gray at the weekend on that back then

Indeed, that's the figure I've seen too. So about what Watkins is earning and a bit less than Kamara is supposed to be on.

Which doesn't seem that "crazy" to me.

Yeah, but John hasn't got his National Record of Achievement like us, and what price can you put on that?

Nor me. I would also I think prefer to buy Felix and give Unai the player he really wants, and loan in Disasi as cover, than try and penny pinch and find an alternative. Monchi had already said a chunk of Duran money will have to go to FFP, so we are clearly hands tied again. I would sooner get Felix in and get Unai working with him and find a couple of decent loans to augment the squad. Mind you if I'm Chelsea I wouldn't sell anyone to Villa right now.

And £125-150k is exactly what I'd expect us to have to pay for a player that improves our best 11 in attack.
