We won't get both, I don't think we could fit them in the Champions League squad updates even if we could afford them.

I think this is correct:

We can add three players for the next Champions League squad. If we lose five players from our initial squad we can add a fourth - so Carlos, Gauci and Philogene already gone with Duran to follow.

That feels a lot like Ned out of the door too, to mean we can add four players. But we won't be adding a club-trained player to replace Philogene (unless something odd happens in the next four days). So we can actually still only add three.

Malen definitely to be added, and it's then a case of are the other two Garcia plus one other, or are we relying on Cash / Konsa / Bogarde at right-back and we're adding two others. Presumably another attacker and centre-back.

Not seen that, and they, along with everyone else, can fuck off anyway.

Our valuation of players will have increased as it's January. And we're Top 8 Champions League, so the price has gone up again.

Unless we're planning to go back in for Bade as first choice......

Surely felix on loan is best option for us? If they reject that then i would like elswhere.

I much prefer cunha

Make your mind up. One minute you're saying you like Elswhere, next you want Cunha.

Let me explain for you my position. If we are  after felix then i would prefer a loan. But my personal  preference  is cunha over felix

I get confused with all this.

Can we not use Barry as the club-trained and therefore add 4?

Out
Carlos
Philogene
Gauci
Duran (99%)
Nedeljkovic (likely)

In
Malen
Garcia (probable)

Leaves space for 2 more?
What about Louie Barry?

When does the Window Slam Shut?

End of Monday is when we pack our war-chest away until the summer.
Ok - Im assuming the hold up preparing bids is because we're waiting for the paper with the new Company Letterhead to come in, and the fax machine to warm up .

I have to say, I'm not happy with how this window is going.  We're giving far too much time for other clubs to brace themselves in advance of our bids.

Buendia out too?

I think the plan is to add four assuming Ned also leaves. Malen, Garcia, new '10,' new right CB.

Once Duran goes if we can get Felix on a permanent Disasi will join on loan. If we can't get Felix permanently we will try to get him on loan and will have to go elsewhere for a CB (Foyth?).

No Felix = Asensio on loan. Not sure what plan C is, I can't see Wolves selling Cunha in this window and even if they were prepared to name a price it would be inflated given the circumstances of both clubs.

Sorry, you're quite right. Buendia too.

And yes - based on the noise, all those moving parts feel about right to me.

My gut feeling is that Bade turned us down because Liverpool told him they want him but won't move for him until the summer. Don't see Liverpool wanting both Bade AND Konsa.

Think prioritises for the rest of the window are.

1.  Keep Ollie
2.  Get a CB (on loan if the right one isnt available)
3.  Get a Forward (on loan if the right one isnt available)

We cant afford to waste the Duran money - so if the right players arent available lets get a body or 2 in till the end of the season and hope for some luck

I would agree with the above.  I'm really not sure we need a 'number 10' type player, as we already have a number of options who can play there.

Replacing Carlos is surely a priority, along with Duran unless Malen can play the lone striker role.  Getting another proper wide right option would also be near the top of my list of priorities.

Bloody hell, missed Buendia!

I think that summary is good. That's an awful lot of change isn't it? But in summary, it feels like an improvement. Carlos, and Philogene won't be missed by most. Buendia is a shame, but he's never quite done enough. Gauci gets development. Nedeljkovic needs games. Duran will go down in history, cult hero style.

I'm not sure Buendia was ever good enough for us. He certainly isn't now.

6 of our CL squad going out, and maybe 4 coming in feels more like a summer window than a winter one.
