Something a bit odd about that offer. Not only ludicrously low but also a few hours before a massive game.

The offer was last week. The timing of the news of it coming out is odd though.

🚨🧨 Arsenal’s opening offer for Ollie Watkins was closer to £45m than £60m.
@Matt_Law_DT

That trolling at its best. Thats a pathetic bid. We should bid 30m for saka see if they like it

Thought I read last week. Either way, not quite a few hours before the game.

They're just trying to rattle Ollie and hamper Unai's chances to succeed. Pathetic, small time, desperate.

Nice try!

I'm another in favour of testing Ipswich with an offer for Delap. He looks like a very useful player (but he probably wouldn't get into the side ahead of Watkins so we'd possibly end up with a similar situation as with Duran).

I thought the Celtic lad who scored their goals didn't look too bad. Old style centre forward and good backup potential maybe.

His first goals in ages. Nah.

Absolutely no chance. He couldn’t cut it at Norwich a few years back (although was pretty young then) and is hardly tearing it up in Scotland

Anyway, I'd not bother with bidding on any Arsenal player. They've got high enough levels of grandeur to think we want their players just adds to it.

DCL looked decent against us, doesn't mean we should buy him as backup.

Indeed - scoring a goal or two against us isn’t that tricky either.
