So that’s a no then.
They've been in for him since the beginning of the month, a permanent deal. Spurs and Man Utd have asked about a loan.

Yeah sorry it was a flip remark to having something sensational lined up.

Ah right I got you. Maybe the case then...but who knows, maybe out of Porto, Benfica ,Atletico, Barcelona and Chelsea, he finally finds his home at...Villa  ???

Compared to last season, we have become very narrow.

Bailey is currently out of form and moves inside too much. Our threat down the left has almost disappeared. Too much pressure on Rogers bursting through the congested middle to create anything.

We need an 'out and out' quality left winger. Despite Southampton being crap, Sulemana has shown potential. Antoine Sememyo of Bournemouth can play up front (left, right or centre) and might also be worth checking out.

Ramsey flatters to deceive. Hardly any goals, assists or continuity. If anything, he gets in Rogers way!!

Probably be for the summer now but I would sell Ramsey and invest in an 'out and out' left winger. Give us some width.

When was the last time we had a good left winger???

Are you fucking mad? Did he get in Rogers way for the goal on Sunday? Hardly any goals or assists because he got a bad injury and had some complications coming back too soon.

Yes, I am fucking mad but 14 goals and 11 assists in 122 appearances does not win you many trophies.

2 more assists.

If Duran goes, do we bid for Cunha?

I have a good feeling about the rest of the transfer window.

Duran will end up crashing and burning. If we spend well it could define the next decade for us.

The fact that he wants to go there reveals that the balance of probability is that he crashes and burns. If this summer you'd have offered me Felix or Cunha for him I'd have been quite content.

I wish him well, clearly and purely for the money but at 21, 31 yes grab the cash at the end of your career, another 6 months at Villa could have put him in the super star status, still would have gone but he's gone to early, so we have the money now and we need to get 4 or 5 players in before the end of this transfer window, I assume that Monchi has got all this hand.

And a bit of surplus cash too, although Wolves will add £10m to his price now.

I really rate Duran but if he hasn't got the ability to be part of a squad or the ambition to play in a proper league at 21 then I doubt he'll ever become the player he could be. It's a big shame but if he goes to SA then so long as we replace him with quality I'm fine with it.

It also means about £55m banked for PSR.

We have a lot of work to do in the time remaining and it feels like a risk mid season. Time for monchi to earn his money

I had a late look in here last night and all the talk was of God and Jesus and tonight I click on and we’ve sold Duran and someone thinks Ramsey is shit.

I’ll be glad when the window closes.

Exactly that - this is a huge gamble.
