He played a lot for Chelsea last season. Must be a loan to buy deal?

Aston Villa are very close to reaching an agreement for the transfer of Juan Foyth.
@javimatagil

Deeply underwhelming. Lots of injuries in recent times, 16 league appearances in last 18 months doesn't suggest he is "oven ready" as a former OP once put it.

Maybe this is just PSR reality kicking in like Newcastle found after CL football quality.

Diasi from Chelsea incoming according to Romano.

Loan to buy ?
Hoping it isn't an obligation to buy deal.

He’s going to be back-up isn’t he.

Sure I said a week ago we'd end up with Disasi lol..

I actually don't think he's a bad player, but he hasn't been great for Chelsea admittedly. They did pay £45 million to Monaco for him though, and he is a big commanding centre back, so might work well with Pau

I don’t know much about Disasi, having reflected on my initial reticence. If he’s pretty dominant that would be helpful.

Yeah but the difficulty is he was part of an incredibly unstable side. Now it might be he’s rubbish or it could be the circumstances he was in made him look rubbish. No idea.

Axel Disaster would be better... or maybe Actual Disaster

A right-sided Mings - he played 44 times last season for Chelsea - they had a good 2024, so he must have played his part in that.

EXCLUSIVE: Axel Disasi has agreed on personal terms with Aston Villa.

Disasi wants to join Villa despite interest from more clubs around Europe after direct talk with Unai Emery, crucial to get the green light.

Deal now up to Chelsea and Villa to reach full agreement.

You do a bit of background reading on him and his coaches all praise his leadership, calm personality and intelligence following tactical instruction. Emery loves a rehab job, I don't think this is the nailed on disaster people will certainly paint it to be.
