We haven’t had a striker at Villa who has scored 20 top flight league goals in a season for 44 years. During that time we’ve had 3 world class keepers and several top class defenders.

So do you not deem watkins as world class then as he hasnt scored 20 goals?

Thats not to measure how a striker is world class or not. We have had some  exceptional  strikers more than keepers. Ollie, benteke, angel, yorke, dublin, carew to name a few

Defenders southgate, laursen melllberg, mings, mcgrath to name afew.

No keeper since 92/93 when i got into football has come close to martinez for me. Bosnich was good probably closest, friedel was ok, sorensen same along with given was good. But martinez has for me been best in my life time

Is he any good? From what I can see Vigo only paid €3m for his and he’s only played three games this season?

I’d be well pissed off if we sell Durán in this window no matter the money
not as much as I was with Grealish but getting there

even if we collected 100 mill what does that get you, 2 Onanas,
I know it doesn’t work that way but you get the point
I don’t expect Durán to be with us long term but I’d like another couple of seasons watching him become the best in the world

I don’t think that’s right. I heard on the All Villa No Filler podcast that he’s got 7 goal involvements in something like 18 games, and has made the last few Spain squads.

His strengths and weaknesses on WhoScored? Make him look like a right-sided Torres.

Only fair to give them an opportunity to prepare to brace themselves for a bid.

I don't think wiki is the place to go. He's played virtually the entire season.
