Hypothetically, would the below solve our PSR/FFP problems for the foreseeable?

OUT Duran £60m + IN Malen £20m
OUT Carlos £10m + IN Spanish lad £20m

£30m profit and bodies to replace the departing players?

Not my preference, but the above might make sense, if it is a case of WHEN rather than IF we need to sell a top player.

Dortmund keen on the Rashford deal. Could be the catalyst for Malen to move.

Dortmund are also keen on taking him on loan with an option to buy and ManU paying two thirds of his salary. It's widely reported that Rashford is on £325k a week with a contract until 2028. And you wonder why he's reluctant to move.

EDIT: It seems Italy rather than Germany is where he prefers to be. Milan interested.

I'm sure Malen's good and all but replacing Duran with him looks pretty fucking meek to me.

Profit is largely irrelevant in this but lets make a few assumptions:

Wages for Duran & Carlos are pretty much the same as Malen & RB
Duran has a current 'book value' of ~£8-9m
Carlos has a current 'book value' of ~£10-11m
Both signings are on 5 1/2 year deals.

On that basis we'd make a profit of around £50m but we'd add about £8m a year to our costs.

All that said I don't think Malen is in any way intended to replace Duran and I think the only way Duran leaves in this window (or next summer) is if there's a release clause that gets triggered.

I'm sure we're not selling Duran this window or even the next one if he has his heart set on Barca. It could be good for us if they're stringing him along. I'm imagining Deco telling him to keep his head down, score 20 this season and 35 next, and then they'll come for him. The £200m might be most welcome by then.

My guess is Villa would want much closer to £100m  thank £60m too. Malen is a Diaby replacement. Duran has magic stardust only the really top players have in them, we shouldn't be considering less than Grealish money.

Valencia have contacted Aston Villa to find out the conditions of a possible transfer for Kosta Nedeljković.
@SERDepValencia

Unai Emery won’t sanction a loan until a replacement is signed.

Shall we just buy Valencia and let them be our feeder club?

It's more exotic than Brentford.

No rules in Spain about loaning more than one player from the same club then?

FIFA rules are no more than three from a single club, which I assume is how Spain do it throughout their leagues.

We've got all of Wright, Munroe and Mosquera on loan at Real Union for example.

I thought it was no more than one player in England, am I wrong or we’ve decided to implement our own rules that no other country follows?

The second, and I think it's Premier League specific rather than the FA.

Not sure about that. When his head is right he is a very effective player,
Yes you are right once on a Tuesday in a season.
