Donyell Malen has reportedly agreed terms with Aston Villa, who remain in talks with Borussia Dortmund over a deal to sign the Dutch international.
Pretty sure Townley waits for what the Athletic report and swoops in with his article an hour after.

I haven't seen Athletic report that today, and given he's the Villa reporter for the local paper I'd imagine he'd have a little insight. Also, so what?

The local paper haven't had decent relations with the club for a long long time.

It might be better with Townley on the beat but I wouldn't be so sure.

Sadly the mail haven't reported anything aside from what they get told in the press conferences since the much maligned Greggg Evans left.

Derby County are pushing on with a loan move for Louie Barry.
@reluctantnicko

Reluctant Nicko...had forgotten about him. If he's still at this game he can hardly be that reluctant anymore. Unless he's referring to his namesake agreeing to those interviews with Frost.

Sky reporting that Juve want to loan out Luiz with obligation to purchase at the end of the season and two PL clubs are showing an interest. Would we want him back? Do we ned him say as back up for Youri?

I don't think it suits anyone involved for him to come back in this window, even if it makes sense and would be a good option.

I would love him back - but with FFP constraints, I think we're probably pretty well covered.

Does make me cringe though where he could end up...

Both of the Manc clubs need legs in midfield. Doug isn't particularly pacey but he's fit as a flea and can get around the park. Not sure I could stomach his "I've come home" interviews with Blue Moon Media mind...

I’ll cry if he turns out for anyone else. But I think he will.
