I expect it will depend on who is available and their costs. I reckon we could probably get away with a 30-40 mil player but needs to be the right player. We should also look at the loan markets as well.

Expect it will be £10-15 mill tops - unless there is a major departure.  FFP is still a thing.

Hope we're targeting

A back up goalie
A RB  (or a centre half who can play RB competently

and

Either a right winger as competition for Bailey or a forward who can play across the frontline.

Who, I have no idea. Ospina as the reserve goalie, maybe.  Team mate of Duran at international level.

Keylor Navas is still a free agent as well.  Would expect the money goes on a defender and we do a Zaniolo-like loan deal for the forward option. Hopefully with more success than that actual deal.

Right back and a pacey forward required.

Id be looking for a number 10 to compete for rogers shirt. someone who can play the killer pass instead of running down blind alleys.

I’d love a quality right back as good as what we have on the left, however Matty Cash or Konsa are ok, so for me if money is an issue a wide right winger has to be top priority?

We didn’t spend a lot when you look at sales going out. We’ve got more quality in squad depth than I’ve ever known, however to be the very best, we are lacking in some key positions.

I get your point but spending 50m on one player (onana) is a significant  amount of money..e
30m maatsen thats 80m for those two alone. Were they key positions  we needed to spend such amounts on?

I mean i like onana bit he does appear quite injury prone and i think  we spent too much on him personally.  Still amazes me the club stupidly didnt address the right back situation and its beggers belief we did not replace diaby either

An attacking player with pace please to give us something different (replace what we lost with Diaby).

He doesn’t play for Leipzig, he plays for Atalanta.

If we're looking for an attacking loan punt in January, wonder if Emery might go back in for Asensio.

Clearly wanted him in his first summer, and he's barely getting a kick for PSG these days.

Doesn't exactly have the pace that we seem to need though.

I think pace is the thing we’re badly missing. It allows team to press onto us without much fear.
