Imagine he'll stay in Turkey for the remainder of the season and come over in the summer like Ned did. Seeing he's a left sided CB/LB I would guess they see him being 2nd choice CB/LB if Digne or Mings move on in year or two.

would be unfair to call Özcan a potential talent as he is already playing first-team football in the Turkish top tier. In fact, he already had half a season as first-choice defender under his belt when he started the first game of the 2023-24 campaign for Kasimpasa. Burst on to the scene in January 2023 and it was not long until he became the youngest player to score in the league, aged just 16. Started off as a left winger before being converted to a centre-back due to his size and pace, although the youngster believes his best position is left-back. Wearing the No 58 as an ode to the area code of his family’s region, Sivas, he cites Sergio Ramos as his idol. Özcan is already playing for the Turkish Under-21 national team and considering the lack of left-backs at the moment he could end up getting fast-tracked to the senior side. Aston Villa is pleased to announce that Filip Marschall has signed a new contract with the club.

The goalkeeper is currently on loan at Crewe Alexandra in League Two where he has made 25 appearances, keeping nine clean sheets.

Marschall has previously spent time on loan with MK Dons and Gateshead, with whom he won the National League North title in 2022.

Just looked him up on Wikipedia: "Yasin Özcan (born 20 April 2006) is a Turkish footballer who plays as a centre-back or left-back for Kasımpaşa."

Unai Emery really needs to check that he's written 'RIGHT BACK' rather than 'Full back' on the list of players he wants to sign.

He played in this match against the Ireland U21 in Sept. Looks like he was playing left wing back as he was caught a couple of times up field. Slightly at fault for the goal at 1:21 onwards as his challenge was poor and should have challenged better or stepped back if he didn't think he was going to win it. He also put in the good cross at 2:22 which seems to have been the Turks best chance.
