Aye. Onana does seem the type to pick up a knock or ten.

So it does seem increasingly odd that we let the Baron and Dendonker go this summer. Emery clearly didn't rate the latter. But the former might be better served on our bench than Valencia's.

Yeah enzo would have been a good option for bench today. Hopefully kamara should be back after the break which will help

I think onana picked up quite a few injuries at everton so its not a suprise really

Did Axl accidently start the match thread in the thread archives, or did a mod move it?

The first. I've merged them now.

I hope our players are  not still hyped up by Wednesday's result and realise that there is a job to be done here. There is been far too much on the media all week about ETH and this match as his nadir if defeated. In the past every time that has been the case they have turned up and won so we have a job to do and it's going to be tough.

Yup I expect them to put in a good display.

We need to stop them putting the ball in behind our full backs as that's their main threat as well as slabhead at set pieces.

Get the first goal & they won't fancy it

Jacob Tanswell (The Athletic) has tweeted that Carlos left the warm-up early to return to the dressing room.

Another possible injury then I guess.

Why are we the 2pm ko, this is clearly the biggest match of the weekend, it should be the 4.30 ko.

All very reasonable points, but I'll be very disappointed if we don't beat these Red ***** comfortably.

Duran against a tiring 67 year old Jonny Evans. We could be 4-0 down with half an hour to go and still win this.

So Axl can get to bed by midnight.

If Carlos was a last minute injury then are we playing Cash before he's ready? Are we going to be pulling him and Bailey after 20 minutes?

No as wasn't the team announced well before the players warm up?
