Midfield looks light on the bench. Need to put this to bed on the first half.

So no actual midfielder on the bench then. That's sub-optimal.

Big gaps in midfield without Onana and McGinn. Hopefully both miss internationals and are back for later on in the month.

Need a big big game from Bailey today please.

We'll either absolutely batter them or lose 3-2.

They’ve picked the old guard so midfield and defence will be slow.

Slightly surprised he hasn’t played Duran and Watkins

They’ll definitely score today. We will also create plenty I suspect, so we need to be ruthless.

We have to expose Dalot, Eriksen and Evans.

Evans and Slabhead in @ center back for them.

De Ligt and Martinez (their one) dropped.

Seems a tad desperate.

I always thought Buendia was a midfielder.

Seems a tad desperate.

He's either planning to sit deep all game and hit us on the counter through Eriksen, or he knows he's gone and this is a "it wasn't my fault" 11 for his CV.

We'll probably still lose 3-2.

Aye. Onana does seem the type to pick up a knock or ten.

So it does seem increasingly odd that we let the Baron and Dendonker go this summer. Emery clearly didn't rate the latter. But the former might be better served on our bench than Valencia's.

I heard they're good friends with Sean Combs.

I hope our players are  not still hyped up by Wednesday's result and realise that there is a job to be done here. There is been far too much on the media all week about ETH and this match as his nadir if defeated. In the past every time that has been the case they have turned up and won so we have a job to do and it's going to be tough.
