After last night's result we should definitely be thinking of top 8. I don't know how Emery does it to be honest. Any moment you think things might be starting to slip and he takes things to another level.
3 more wins

€2.1m for a win - Heck will be telling Unai to pick his best team.

So if we put out a strong side vs bologna and can get a win that puts us on 9 points. If we can qualify asap then we can rest players for the league games

Puts us in a real strong position if we can win the next one

Or, in reality we try and win more to finish in the top eight

Yes as the words 'if we qualify"

I don't see us "resting players", but I do hope we see a bit more rotation after the International break.  The Spurs - Brugge - Liverpool stretch of games over 6 days next month will be particularly challenging.

We also have to hope both Ramsey and Onana's injuries are relatively minor.

Given their experience last night, I'd imagine that even more than normal, every player wants to play every minute of every game.

Yeah i didnt word it very well as rotation is more what i meant as  mings said yesterday we dont want this as a one season wonder in CL we want to stay here. Our league form will suffer if we dont do rotation. If we can rack up wins early then in the latter can see more rotation

I think the way the league works is that it'll stay tight right to the end, with a win possibly being the difference between qualifying or not; or finishing in or out of the top 8.

Be good if we have to beat Celtic to finish top 8. Because we’ll beat Celtic.

Not sure how you lot found it, but i found the atmosphere quite strange. We drifted from silent, nervous tension to ear drum busting noise throughout the night. But when we were loud, we were LOUD!

It was indeed. UK crowds don't go in for the syncronised chanting that Bayern and others do, and do very well, everything here is a reaction to what is happening on the pitch and for long periods they either had the ball in our third, or were just about to win it back from us.

I have to say their counter pressing after losing the ball was as good as I've seen, we just couldn't get into our attacking shape quick enough to create an out ball before they won it back again. But also brilliant was us then dropping back into our defensive shape. Very impressive all round.

Stressful, but impressive.

Yeah i think you are right mate. Its mad to see us above citeh and arsenal.  And no one can say our games have been easy thus far

I think the Leizpig one will be tough. Juve too as they went there and won. So we need to get another positive result before those games

Didn't sleep at all last night, just too excited by the whole thing. I keep repeating in my head all the 'sliding doors' moments we've had to reach this point, whether it be getting the best keeper in the world from Arsenal's reserves or being managerless at the exact moment Emery wanted to come back to the Premier League.

As he said after the game, the main thing is for us to be able to compete at this level, which we did. Bayern were absolutely flying, and we were without McGinn and Kamara so not full strength. We had to replace an injured winger with another injured winger while they were bringing on the likes of Musiala and Sane. But we still found a way.

Just got up, I can’t believe we beat the 12 players of Bayern.

The officials are no better than the premier league.

Completely bottled the first foul on Ollie as he knew if it was a free-kick it had to be a red card.

Yep, exactly what we said.

Wouldn't the first time the Dutch collaborated with the Germans whilst pretending not to.

How to beat Bayern; ensure defensive resilience and organisation, heroic goalkeeping and a sensational goal well into the second half from an iconic number 9. Easy

A shout out for Diego Carlos. He got pelters after the Ipswich game but Unai decided against a reshuffle and stuck with him. He was a rock last might.

Quiet morning at work, thought I'll have a nose at a few forums from last night, most of were right behind us but I found a significant number of bitter comments from both Man City and Liverpool, with the former bemoaning how much the commentary were getting behind us but don't with them and how much noise we were making, larf.

Everyone hates you lads and everything you've acheived is tainted, sorry, all the money in the world can't change that.

I wouldn't swap anything they've won for what we did last night and what we've done just to get there.
