Fantastic night. Brilliant peformance throughout the team. Excellent build up to the game all day, full of nostalgia.  One of the most emotional nights ever. In many ways, it felt even sweeter than '81 & '82, given where we have been since.

Just finished watching...That was insane. Glorious performance all round.

I was nervous about starting Jaden, but he was one of the best performers on our team tonight. When Jhon came on I told my daughter he was going to chip one over Neuer's head and score - you're welcome :)

Who was Bayern's no.9, he was shit.

Shout out to Philogene for stepping up - spent most of the night pressing.
He got better and better in the game.

I never thought I'd see Villa do anything like this. I'm lost for words. I'm so, so proud. I can't believe we just did that.

Carlos was superb.  I dont get this guy!! 😂

You just have a bad memory.

He plays unbelievable against the great sides

Ah, you’ve noticed. So you wanted him to play tonight then?

Not sure why you are trying to pick a argument tonight after such a unbelievable win.

Just enjoy the win man

Hark who’s talking - the match-thread manic depressive. I’m enjoying more than you know. Jumped straight into a taxi outside the ground having shared a wonderful night with my kids that they’ll never forget as long as they live. And really enjoying poking football illiterates about how they no doubt reacted when they saw the team that me and Unai picked.

Not quite Paul Birch v Lothar Matthaus shades of composure and ownership.

But as a shock tactic to unsettle more illustrious opponents it's up there.

European Cup football is fairly straightforward.

Villa play Bayern.

Villa's number 9 scores a 2nd half winner.

Me and my cousin were shouting at the players to lob him all evening. Easy this coaching lark.

It's going to take about 30 years of being decent to undo the 30 years of being shite! But I'm with you in principle!

One of the greatest nights in our history

A special night, certainly, but for me the great nights are when we win trophies. I'm delighted especially for our younger fans who have never seen such occasions - may they witness many more to come in the days, weeks, months and years ahead.

Nearly up there with a League Cup semi-final when we were in the Third Division.
