Thought Ipswich were quite effective against us. They know we like attacking down the left and allowed us to chop back inside to slow us down. We lost a lot with Rodgers going off. I agree with those saying Maatsen would have been a better choice to start this one.

One of the things Diaby did was keep Bailey on his toes for his place. Bailey knows Philogean isn’t currently anyone who he needs to worry about. Apart from his assist his performance was poor, lazy at times and god knows how we couldn’t keep on his feet in the second half.

Carlos I’ve thought for a long time is not good enough and a liability. He’s such a strange player in that he looks physically imposing but is not. Is supposed to have a great long pass but we’ve never seen it. Continues to make similar mistakes and never seems to learn from them which, at his age, is terrible. He’s supposed to be an experienced player but players like a novice at times. And the big problem seems to be that he does not trust his body and that has a knock on effect on us trying to play a high line.

Watkins and Rodgers are potent.

It was a poor second half but long way to go in the season and we didn’t lose.

Bailey wasn't tracking back with his runners

Not the best performance but I'll take a point and great away day.

Now that WAS a shit performance. Philogene - what’s the point?

Yes very lightweight and bullied off the ball.

But not to blame for the defeat. Hopefully he will learn.

What defeat?

If we can win next Sunday, today's result won't seem so bad, 4 points from those 2 fixtures will be ok.
Bless your heart. You do know who we're playing next Sunday?

Yeah, lol, that was exactly the point I was trying to make , beat them and today's draw won't look so bad.

I think overall so far we have looked very good at times and very bad at times. The problem is that we only have to be bad for a moment to undo all the good.

Ipswich played played with a lot of energy and movement up front, we appeared far to relaxed and almost lost this game, I bet Unai has let them have it with both barrels.  EMI shouldn’t get away Scot free he should have saved the first.

Just watched the replay. I noticed their striker Delap angrily snapping at Emery after the game. I wonder what that was about?

I thought Unai looked proper pissed off at the end - when he greated Mckeena - I thought it seemed quite abrupt - even by his normal post match behaviour

Maybe the hype over McKenna is not misplaced. He went toe to toe with Emery, presumably with worse or at least inexperienced players, and picked at our vulnerabilities to get a result.

This is fucking disgraceful. How Atwell/VAR missed this is highlights their incompetence. Not taking away that we didn’t play well but these are important moments that have to be caught by the officials
