This is why we need to be making 2-3 changes after CL games, flat as anything and second to most balls.

We have proven players on the bench who can turn this game so use them.

That's my big concern for this season and that's the easiest CL game we'll get all year aswell.

agree was expecting Maatsen and Ned and even Duran .   Carlos is a liability .

Liverpool played in the CL and are 3-0 up. It's far too easy to blame the CL, we've just been shit.

I  know there wasn’t much we could do about it but our squad is thin - it’s a huge ask for these players to be at the levels we need week in and week out

Our squad isn't that thin. We have one of the most inform CFs in World football warming the bench every prem game because he isn't trusted to press well from the start.

I look at Liverpool starting Nunez today after CL and he's scored.

Maatsen was starting a CL final four months ago, I'm disappointed we haven't seen more of him so far.

Barkley made a difference last week and Bailey is back involved although probably wise just to give him the last 20 minutes after three weeks out.

Just playing the same 11 every 3-4 days is very O'Neill esque and will lead to us picking up injuries like we've seen with SJM so I'm very surprised Unai is doing. End of last season we had no choice but to play the same side in the run in due to the injuries but now we have far more options in most areas of the pitch so use them otherwise we'll be dropping plenty of points after European games this season.

That first half is a big warning.

Emery can fume, but this is on him. Surely, he has seen enough of Carlos to know he is an idiot. Red card in the preseason, almost gave away a goal in the CL… and these are just his recent flubs.

Oh behave, we're 5 games in.
But that’s my point there looking tired 5 games in.  We have another 40 to go

I've seen enough of Wolves to think they'll fold if we score

Thin squad, my arse. Barkley, Bailey, Buendia, Durán and Maatsen are all capable of turning the game today. I would have taken McGinn or Morgan off at half-time, possibly both.

It will be interesting to see if it's Bailey or Barkley who comes on for Meatball.

In games like this we do McGinn nor ourselves any favours playing him out wide. Play him further inside and we win this. Right now we're being outbattled. Duran may help too as we offer zero threat up front.

Nunez got his first start of the season today so that's example of freshening up.

Would genuinely love to know what more Duran has to do to get a start. The World dosen't end if Ollie is on the bench for a prem game and he's offered little first half.

Unai's got far more right than wrong in his two years but I'm genuinely surprised he's gone with the same team for three games running. Will look more closely at 21/22 and how many changes he made with Villareal when they were combining with league fixtures.

If we're tired after the first midweek game of the season then something is very wrong with our fitness training.

What's going on zero shots on target?
How bad was the Carlos error for the goal?

I think changes half time needed then because rotation needs to come into play after champions league match.

There'll be no more Meatball in this game it seems, he's potentially done his hammy.

Tiredness should not be a thing at this stage in the season. And if it is, there are the likes of Kosta, Bailey, Buendia, Duran and Barkley he could have started instead. In any case, the div who made the fuck up has played 45 minutes so far this season before today.
