Edgy win against a team that we always seem to find awkward as fuck to play against.

It was our easiest home game last season.
It really wasn't

It was a total stroll. Sheffield United and Burnley gave us a harder time. Levico is chatting his usual shite.

It was as routine a home win as you're ever likely to see.

Yep. Memorable only for Rogers treating half the Wolves team like a bunch of small children being ragdolled.

We have no local rivals.

We have one of the moodiest and nastiest derbies in the country with Small Heath. We have one several notches down the scale with the Albion. We have one of curious amusement at the Coventry of the west. After they last beat us the a couple of seasons back at the Molineux, the streets resembled Buenos Aires after a world cup victory. We'll walk back home tomorrow after doing them with no more or less spring in our step than after we'd beat an Everton or a Tottenham.

It's odd really, we have a lot of clubs that seem to dislike us, Leeds and Newcastle of late too, yet there's no real basis for it.

We've no direct rivals, as we're pushing on and leaving anyone within 80 miles behind us; if you think about success, and being regarded as one of the top sides, we're not there yet in most people's eyes, however, that's changing and we will be filling a big gap between Manchester and London quite nicely.

I'd forgotten that it was the first real sighting of Rogers in 'Jonah Lomu' mode.

Historically we’ve been the dominant Club in the Midlands but there is antagonism because we draw support from across the Midlands.

Seen huge Villa followings at Highfield Road and Molineux.

Given the modern hype it’s ironic it’s Blues we’ve historically cared about the least.

It was a nothing game , tetchy derby , they shaded possession and had more shots than us . We had easier home games last season .

I think that's disingenuous, as derbies as they are, took the path they did around the late 60s/70s before being really solidified in the evil stage of football in the 80s.

Rivalries existed and have done since the beginning. The Stripeys wanting to avoid the train back past Villa Park with the Cup they wouldn't be winning- but that's sporting pettiness and competing. That will ebb and flow.

Fans increased sense of tribalism and singular identify, that can often be manifested violently, correlates quite neatly with the rise of Small Heath as our most loathed neighbours. There's people old enough to post on here who would have visited B9 one week and B6 the next. That's utterly unthinkable from the 70s/80s onwards.

Small Heath is our derby. They've never, ever been our rivals.

Absolute bollocks as ever Coops. It was a total stroll and they didn't lay a glove on us. As routine a win as came all season at home.

For some Villa fans a game against Wolves is a big deal, especially those in the black country. It's certainly more of a game to a lot than if it was say Ipswich or Brentford.

Precisely, it depends upon where you reside. For me it’s a big game and I’ll be starting the wind up’s with the Wolves landlord of my local very shortly.

Still a few hundred tickets left - A5 must have about 200 available.

I was looking earlier and whilst the majority of seats were singles there were a couple of areas where there were a couple of blocks where you could get multiple seats together. At Chris Heck prices obviously.

I seem to recall the Wolves game we were a bit under par first half, and a lot better second. I think that might have been the match that sealed Moreno's fate with us, as I seem to recall he was very poor that day.
