Why did Emery get a yellow?

Encroached on pitch whilst shouting at Barkley.

As a fairly objective observer on the half way line I thought the atmosphere was good yesterday. Crowd silenced by Everton goals but no booing at HT as is traditional. It didn’t get loud before the end because crowd was nervous but explosion at the end.

Lots of people arrived early because of a combination of the delays last game and the 5.30 kick off meant people got there earlier as bored in the afternoon.

I would play Carlos and Barkley on Tuesday but we’ll see!
To be fair, it looked like Unai was going to rip someone’s head off, literally.
The booking probably saved someone’s life.

I am watching the game on the telly now .These balls on cones dotted around the pitch make it look like there is a giant game of Parker Brothers 'Escape from Colditz' going on.

To this day I’ve never worked out the rules to that game.
Can anyone say truthfully that they actually finished a game of ‘Escape From Colditz?’

Unless I misheard the stat before the game yesterday we have now let multiple goals in in 10 out of the last 12 home games.

Surely this has to be addressed? konsa and Pau outmuscled yesterday

That was a lovely Toffee assist for Watkins' second.

I also hated the flashing red and white all around the ground for most of the game. Not a fan of Villa Park being lit up to look like The Emirates!

Looking at those boards I get the feeling that everyone in the front row is hidden behind them

Great game for the package fan but a defensive nightmare for us i thought. Could easily have conceded four against a side who look doomed already. We somehow managed to make Kalvert-Lewin look a threat which takes some doing. Nice to see Buendia back but he needs time for sure. Duran is proving a wonderful impact player.
