Haven't read the thread but who was Emery going absolutely spare at during the 2nd half? It looked aimed at Tielemans however I'm not sure. I came back in the room and the boss had lost his nut.

Without sounding like Fergie at his patronising best Everton can take heart from this defeat unlike last week's capitulation.  I thought they played well and scored two good goals but they were done by method, aggression, effort and bravery. The better team won.

When  was the last time we did this in the Prem? I know we've been on the receiving end a few times (Lesta under Sherwood, Yanit3d and Arsenal at VP no doubt).

Our last one can't be the Santa game to take us top against Arsenal in December '98, can it ?

No more new threads till then but that will be next one. The win today sees us 3rd in the league and come November we coud even be top!!

Could have...but he won't ever be prolific. The way he allowed Konsa nipped in front of him was dog and duck centre forward play. Unlucky with the one that smashed off the bar alright. You couldn't back him to stay fit either but he bullied Torres in duels today.

I think Everton are doomed this year, likes of Keane, Young, Coleman are nowhere near PL standard these days and still playing. So much for Dyche's defensive organisation, they leaked some amount of chances today. If likes of Watkins and Rogers were really on it today, we would have got 5 or 6 easily.

Digne has been excellent this season and has two assists already, he's really not just keeping the left back slot warm for Maatsen.

I've been very happy with Digne last 12 months. Just feel Maatsen's extra acceleration would add more on the counter, much like Moreno when he first came in.

Think that type of LB would also help Ramsey who struggled to get into things.

It's a very nice problem to have and I'd expect Maatsen to start one of the next two games.
