we are dodgy defensively - but we keep pulling this off. Special mention to Barclay who was very assured and tried to keep it ticking. Thielemans MOTM. Digne, Ollie and Panda were great.

Bogarde was ok but offered zero threat.

Great mentality to not let the mistakes affect us too much. Definitely a lack of sharpness across the squad still but really exciting signs there.

Agree about Morgan. His all round play is excellent, it’s just the final 5% he needs to work on.

I thought 3-2 reflected the game well. It is ridiculous the way commentators are comparing this Everton reverse to H Bournemouth. Total different circumstance regardless of the scoreline. No way should Dyche be booted on the back of today. They'll go clear again eventually.

As for us we have shown we can overcome adversity and atone for errors. Our heads didn't drop at 0-2 like they may have done a few seasons ago

Result aside, that was not nearly good enough.

We absolutely dominated the entire game. Yes two poor goals conceded but that was the most one sided team performance we’ve seen in ages.

Different circumstances yes, but if we were 2-0 up two games in a row and lost both, how do you think we'd react?

Wonderful attitude and spirit to come back from 0-2.  Barkley changed the game alongside Tielemans and they dictated the tempo for the second half.  Cracking finish from Ollie and a thunderfuck of a strike from Duran.  We deserved to win, despite the odd miss pass and poor chance missed here and there.  I do have a worry about Torres not being strong enough for this league.  Nice passer but too many goals conceded.  Morgan Rogers, when the end product gets sharper will be a fantastic player.  Great to see Buendia back and I thought he played a couple of neat balls.  We are a good squad although I was moaning about the lack of pace.  Two or three haven't quite got going yet either, which bodes well.

Villa are some team now. I thought we were excellent throughout. The possession we had is nuts and some of our play was beautiful. I can't wait to see where this story goes. And my word, what an astonishing goal to win it - Emi Martinez had the same reaction as me!

Brilliant to see Buendia back too, I can't wait to see what he can do under this manager.
