The Wankdorf Stadion uses the charmingly named LigaTurf RS Cool Plus system made by Polytan. You can see a cross-section of the turf's different layers on the club's website.

The rest of the Swiss Super League don't like the playing surface at all, believing that it gives YB an unfair advantage. Only FC Lausanne-Sport and BSC Young Boys don't currently play on grass.
