I can only apologise for what I was told in good faith by several credible sources. I'm also glad I was wrong.

No need to apologise, as you in turn were acting in good faith. It's not as if you did a Jay Forsyth.

Funny that people were annoyed earlier in the week about the club not mentioning him, and then something like this happens. Better to keep quiet, I suppose, until things are clear.

Villans, as Tom Ross mentioned, Gary is still in hospital and still very poorly. I've had this confirmed.

Keep him in your thoughts tonight, for as long as there's life, there hope.

Keep fighting ledge, thinking of you.

It's where I am. He lived the dream. Give him some space. That said I've been in a bad mood all afternoon his hearing the news. Villa's Chosen Few. He lived the dream. Played for us. Won the league with us. Became Champions of Europe with us. Blonde bombshell at 22. Best under 23 player in Europe?

More than anything he was a man of the people. If you doubt me, ask Eric.

Definitely. All done with the best of intentions.

He was before my time, but Gary is a legend. Always.

I don’t agreee with deleting the thread. There are many lovely heartfelt tributes in these pages which would be lost.

Like it or not ‘The Immortal Gary Shaw’ coming back from the dead is now part of his story.

The way to keep the thread as it should be, is not to post recriminations about who is to blame, and keep it to tributes and good wishes.

I agree.  Any 'wrong doing' is certainly no fault of anybody on here and, as you say, the tributes and good wishes would go.

Just like the guy in the crowd who used to proclaim a goal somewhere else in the old days.

The only thing that matters now is our Gary recovering from his accident. Come on Gaz!
