The first ball drawn out was number 2 Brentford.
Which sort of disproves your theory, don't you think? (Please don't reply).

"The Club also take this opportunity to announce pricing for domestic cup matches should we be drawn at home. All Carabao Cup matches and the first home fixture in the FA Cup will be priced at just £25 for adults and £10 for children in all areas of the Stadium."

Any reduction for pensioners ? It's half term week and I want to take my granddaughter to her first floodlit game.

We tend to beat them at home and lose away. Hopefully we have more players returning than fresh injuries between now and then, and are able to put out a strong team.

Well I don't see it like that but I will not go on as draw made now but the fact is Villa were drawn out final tie yet were ball number one.
I now won't say any more on the draw system

Villa were the last tie to be drawn for some reason.
Pressumably because they were one of the last 2 balls?
Well, it's clear the Villa ball wasn't touched till the end because it's number 1!  it's first in but then second to last out!
So in between the drawmasters Redknapp and Nolan haven't touched the bottom of the bowl and left Villa till last.

It's a poor shuffle, and the system can be manipulated when there isn't the correct shuffle. Hustlers do this in cards.

I don't think any shenanigans went on other than a very poor shuffle system which didn't include the number one ball being touched till the final draw.

Sounds quite feasible, to be fair. I wasn't watching, did it look like they'd bothered mixing them up at all?

Last time lost to Palace at Villa Park was December 2013.
That's over 10 years ago.

Yes, they mixed the ball thoroughly after every ball was drawn.

Only five away wins between us in 52 meetings (excluding one neutral venue game).

Mad, how they just missed that number one, then. Very weird. Wish I'd watched it, now.

Indeed. Number 1 wasn't drawn out all the way to the final ties, but number 2 was drawn out first. Let's not over discussing this as best to keep to discussing the actual tie v  Palace .
That said here there are varying opinions over the draw's methodology, in the end, I would prefer that everyone got along because it seems some see it differently to the Villa ball not being touched

So let's move on and note for instance, the price of the tickets has been revealed, and that is obviously of more popular interest.
