Can we not call him Rashy - please...  I know its meant to be affectionate but it doesnt work.

I've been trying to get the people who sit near me at Villa Park to call McGinn 'McGiggles' for years but for some reason they aren't on board. I also tried to get them to call N'Zogbia 'Zoggles', but again, no dice.

Bogarde on as a sub for the Dutch U21s and then sent off.

Italy U21 1-2 Netherlands U21
74 mins Bogarde on as a sub
83 mins Bogarde yellow
92 mins Bogarde 2nd yellow and off.

The Dutch had already had a player sent off,, but despite being down to 9 men after Bogey's dismissal they scored the winner in the 94th minute.

Lamare should miss the next game - not unhappy about that.

Does anybody know if Rashford was classed as a Villan as far as being capped tonight?

Think that Rogers was the 79th Villa player to be capped.

Spuds are one ahead iof us  on 80.

Dunno - assumed as he registered to play for us he is one of ours. He can't play for anyone else for another 3 months.

We have got Ramsey to come too. although Spence or Gray may be called up soon unless they opt for heritage. Not sure if Maddison and Solanke ae included in their numbers as yet.

Rogers was our 78th, Rashford our 79th, so we're still one behind Spurs on 80.

Solanke and Maddison both included. List hasn't been updated yet to include Rashy. We will be on 79 when it is.

That list dosn't make sense. We were top for decades yet we've only got two more than Corinthians.

Three more when they add Rashford. I wonder if they've done more research and added some players that had been omitted previously.

Also, note at the bottom of the Corinthians page, maybe other record keepers don't count these players against Corinthians.

"Although providing 76 players for the England team, which was their intention,
Corinthians, in seventy of the 76 cases, were the player's second club.
They first provided players for England in February 1882 against Ireland, when three turned out.
It was not until a year later, against Wales in February 1883, that they broke their record.
They provided six players, but they were just one of nine clubs represented.
After consistently providing from two to four players over next few years,
no fewer than eight players had Corinthians as a second club, against Ireland in February 1886,
then nine players turned out against Scotland, and then Wales, the following month.
Then afterwhich, a handful of Corinthians would consistently turn out for the amateur teams
that represented England until it culminated in a whole team starting against Wales in March 1894."

This note at the bottom of their Corinthians page is probably the reason.

Wish Emi would lay off the physical stuff…he’s clattered into his own centre half while flying out of his area to head a ball & then collided with Nunez while claiming a ball….and it’s not even half time
