Not sure that's fair. On what they've done this season any of Gordon, Hudson-Odoi or Gittens would play on the left for all but half a dozen countries in the world, it's just that Rashford's been picked ahead of them.

I expect most non-Villa fans would pick any of them today ahead of Rashford (if he is actually starting, of course)

Comments on BBC don't seem too pleased with the idea of him starting.

I don't care about England, or international football at all really, but if he plays I hope he has a good game. Anything that makes Man U look even more ridiculous has to be a good thing.

All that really matters is that he doesn't get injured so ideally 0 minutes but since he's maybe starting I want him to play a blinder as it will keep his confidence high when he returns to the Villa

If he was in the same current form but for for "them"  then i would be raging that he was called up never mind possibly starting.

As his current form is directly relating to a coach who knows how to manage the game and the man, i think it is wonderful and a true reflection of the circus up there being led by a clown.

His current form is that of one of the most productive creative players in the league. If he was playing like this for anyone he'd have been in with a very good chance of a recall.
